Twitter Is Going ‘Nuts’ Over Ravi Shastri’s Remarks After India Beat Australia

Ira Shukla

India scripted an historic win over Australia this morning and everyone is super stroked about it, considering how nerve-wrecking things got towards the end.

‘Nerve-wrecking’ is a dull way to put it, though. Ravi Shastri has a better expression for our feelings.

Talking to Sunil Gavaskar during the post-match presentation, Shastri said:

Thodi der ke liye wahan goti muh mein tha.

For those who don’t know, Australia put up a great fight on the final day, with Nathan Lyon and Josh Hazlewood amassing 32 runs for the last wicket.

We won, but then yeah thodi der ke liye….

Gavaskar obviously laughed it away because how are you going to react to a statement like that? Twitter, on the other hand:

Never the one to mince words.

Also, what ya smokin’ Mr. Shastri?
