Rajasthan Royals shocked defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders by 9 runs to make it to the play-offs. KKR meanwhile are all but out of IPL 8.
Opting to bat in a virtual quarter-final, Shane Watson stepped forward and smashed a match-winning 104* to give the Royals a menacing 199/6.
KKR tried hard and Yusuf Pathan (44) and Andre Russell (37 off 20) got them within touching distance but an impressive spell from Chris Morris (4/23) pegged them back.
RR will be relieved to make it to the last 4 after they started their campaign with 5 consecutive wins. KKR must be shell-shocked as they were one of the title contenders.
