It’s raining medals for India at the ongoing South Asian Games as country’s athletes left behind Sri Lanka and host Nepal to amass a massive 252 medals.

This includes a gold from star wrestler Sakshi Malik, who won at the 62 kg event and all the other matches leading up to the final.

In an impressive performance, India has won gold at all the 12 wrestling events so far.

With 22 gold, 10 silver and 6 bronze, India won 38 medals on Sunday itself. As of now, the medal tally stands at 252 medals for India – with 132 gold, 79 silver, 41 bronze.

As for other sports, Kushagra Rawat finished first at the men’s 400m freestyle event, while Anand Shylaja ended up winning a silver.

India won gold at 50 meter backstroke men and women’s events, too.

Overall, this has been an insanely dominating performance by our athletes and we couldn’t be prouder.
