Former Pakistan legend and one of the most feared pacers till date, Shoaib Akhtar minced no words while criticising his team after a crushing 89-run loss to India on Sunday.
In a video uploaded to YouTube, Shoaib slammed captain Sarfaraz and said:
I don’t understand how a captain can be so brainless. How did he not realise that Pakistan doesn’t chase well? Our strength is bowling and when we won the toss, we had half-won the match. But he tried that we don’t win.
His next topic of discussion was bowler Hasan Ali, speaking of whom, he said:
Hasan Ali, who never shies away from jumping around at the Wagah border, couldn’t apply himself when it mattered the most. Many of his deliveries were short-pitched. His mindset seems to be: I want to keep playing T20s and the PSL.
An angry Shoaib further said that he is ‘saddened’ and ‘disheartened’ to see the performance of Sarfaraz and said that he didn’t apply his brain.
