Sourav Ganguly Wants Former BCCI President Anurag Thakur Back In Indian Cricket

Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly has come out in support of the former Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Anurag Thakur, saying that Indian cricket needs him back.

On Saturday, Thakur took to Twitter to extended his warm birthday wishes to the former India skipper.

In his reply, Ganguly thanked the BJP MP and expressed that Indian cricket needs him.

The former boss and BCCI general secretary Ajay Shirke were removed by their positions by Supreme Court for failure to bring transparency and accountability to the Indian cricket board.

The apex court later appointed a four-member panel, headed by Vinod Rai, to oversee the running of the cricket board.
