The battle to making it to the IPL 8 qualifiers got a new emphasis as Sunrisers Hyderabad downed table-toppers Chennai Super Kings by 22 runs.
David Warner was once again the star for SRH with a powerful 28-ball 61 and he got able support from Shikhar Dhawan (37) and Eoin Morgan (32*) to take the score to 192/7.
All the top eight Chennai batsmen got into double digits but failed to capitalize on their starts and that’s all Moises Henriques (2/20) needed to kill the game.
SRH have got themselves into a good position now with 4 wins from eight matches and two consecutive losses have put Chennai in some sort of trouble.
