Struggling Kohli Needs To Up His Game

Gaurav Jha

Virat Kohli has been the number one batsman for India for the past few seasons but the elegant right-hander has been a bit off colour in ODIs.

The Delhi Dasher could only manage 11 runs before he picked out Morne Morkel off the bowling of Dale Steyn to give away India’s advantage.

This was Kohli’s 11 th consecutive innings in which he failed to cross the 50-run mark. His average for this year is only 29.9, the worst for him in a calendar year.

India would be hoping that the 26-year-old will get back to his run-scoring best because they will need his services if they want to challenge SA in the ongoing 5-match ODI series.
