Team India Will Wear Army Caps & Donate Their Match Fees In A Tribute To The Armed Forces

As India face Australia in 3rd ODI at Ranchi, they will be donning Army Caps as a tribute to the Armed Forces of the country.

Additionally, they will also be donating their match fees to the families of soldiers who lost their lives in Pulwama Attack.

Talking about the same, capatin Virat Kohli said before toss:

We’re all donating our match fees of this game to the families of the martyrs. I urge everyone in the country to do the same and stick to the families of our armed forces.

There is news that this initiative was taken by MS Dhoni, who was given the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in November 2011.

This match is also special because it is probably the last time Dhoni is playing at his homeground Ranchi.

We hope that’s not true and he comes back. But if it is, what a way to bid farewell.
