American basketball player Michael Jordan’s shoes, which he wore during the 1984 gold medal winning Olympic finals, are expected to fetch more than Rs 60 lakh at an auction in the US.

The size 13 dual-signed shoes are considered to be in great condition, despite the wear and tear of the game use.

The highly-coveted Converse sneakers are ultra-rare as they feature the professional basketball player’s original autograph and because Jordan signed a contract with Nike shortly after US beat Spain in the basketball finals of the 1984 Olympics held in Los Angeles, California.

The shoes are the last pair Jordan wore in competition as an amateur, the SCP auction house said.

The sneakers are expected to bring in over USD 100,000, the auction house told ‘TMZ’.

The bidding for the shoes began on May 24.
