Watch Usain Bolt Run His Best Race Ever To Defend His World Championship Gold Medal In Beijing

Adarsh Vinay

No one needs to be told about Usain Bolt. The world’s fastest man wins everywhere he goes and it was expected to be another routine win when he headed to the Bird’s Nest in Beijing for the World Athletics Championships. After all, this was the same stadium where he became world famous overnight after his two gold medals and two world records at the 2008 Olympics.

But the Jamaican was put to the test by American Justin Gatlin, who was returning from a doping ban.

Despite a typically bad start, Bolt recovered enough to win the 100m sprint in 9.77 seconds, beating the American by one hundredth of a second!

Yes, that’s right! Bolt won the race by one hundredth of a second! Watch for yourself:
