Another day, another century!

Indian skipper Virat Kohli struck his 32nd ODI ton against New Zealand in the must-win game at Kanpur. In the final match of the three-match series, the Delhi lad smashed 113 off 106 deliveries to help India put 337/6 on the board in the series decider.

Kohli crossed the 9000-run mark in the 37th over of the 3rd ODI.

He became the fastest to complete 9000 ODI runs by achieving the feat in 194 innings – 11 less than AB De Villiers, the fastest so far.

Kohli is the sixth Indian to reach there after Mohammad Azharuddin, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and MS Dhoni.

Along with that, Kohli also became the fastest captain to reach 5000 runs in international cricket (all three formats combined). In the process, he surpassed former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting.

Kohli has now also gone past 2000-run mark in all formats of the game in 2017. 1425 of those have come in ODIs – the most by a skipper in a calendar year in the 50-over format.

It doesn’t stop there, his 32nd ODI ton was his 6th century of 2017. Kohli is the first player to score six ODI centuries in a calendar year as a captain
