After a tiring day of Test cricket at the Eden Gardens, captain Virat Kohli and team still had the time and energy to play good Samaritans as they joined BCCI President Anurag Thakur to clean up in the stands.
October 2nd, celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti across the nation, is also the day Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was kicked off by PM Narendra Modi two years back.

The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi completed two years on Sunday on Gandhi Jayanti.
From Puducherry, to Rajkot, to his constituency Varanasi, the Prime Minister shared on Twitter pictures and videos of cleanliness drives and awareness campaigns held across the country by locals. “It’s a matter of joy that Porbandar Dist, where Bapu was born has become open defecation-free today. Kudos to all those who made this happen,” Modi tweeted.

But there were a few snarky comments aimed at BCCI as well.
But we’d like to give them the benefit of doubt on this one and applaud BCCI and the cricketers for being a part of the clean India campaign.
