On the fifth day of the final Test against England in Chennai, Ravindra Jadeja rolled back the years.

During the second session of play Jadeja, who had already taken the first four wickets to fall, pulled off a stunning catch off Ishant Sharma’s bowling to dismiss Johnny Bairstow.

Bairstow flicked a full ball on the leg stumps, it took the leading edge and ballooned up in the air. Jadeja, who was at short mid wicket, did the rest.

Look at the stunning catch below. Remind of you someone? Of course, it does.

A certain Kapil Dev pulled off a similar stunner in the final of the 1983 World Cup. The moment that is widely regarded as the turning point that gave India the World Cup trophy.

Surely you have not forgotten, but here’s a video of that famous moment.

Twitter was quick to praise Jadeja for a remarkable effort.

Way to go, Sir!
