Shahid Afridi may fight till the end to win a cricket match, but off the pitch, he is a firm believer in peace.

The former Pakistan captain took to Twitter to express his views on the recent escalation in tensions between his country and India, something that has reached a peak after Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the go-ahead for surgical strikes on terrorists.

Things have escalated between India and Pakistan, with both sides taking aggressive stances, but Afridi believes that dialogue can resolve issues.

Afridi put out two tweets to voice his concerns against war, adding that when ‘two neighbours fight both homes are affected.’

He said that Pakistan is a ‘peace loving nation’ and that there was no need to speak about extreme measures.
