According to Economic Times, XPrep was started in September 2015 by Mukul Rustagi and Bhaswat Agarwal, an alumni of IIT Roorkee and NSIT respectively. XPrep was based on the idea of redefining the way tutors, students and parents connected with each other. It enables its tutors to communicate and mange students-related tasks on the app while giving the similar experience to parents.

As of now, it has over 100 tutors and 6000 students across Delhi in the database and has plans to expand its operations in other cities too.

Talking about the support received from Facebook, Rustagi said that FBStart will help them reduce their technology costs and can inturn be helpful for their marketing team and other activities.
