iBall Has Launched India’s Cheapest Windows 10 Laptop. Here Are Its 5 Key Features

Indian tech company iBall’s entry into the laptops fray on Wednesday has many talking already. With the launch of two laptops, CompBook Excelance and CompBook Exemplaire, both of which run on Windows 10 out-of-the-box, the company seems to have made its mark already.

Priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 13,999 respectively, the two are considered among the cheapest Windows 10 laptops in the world. They are available through retail stores beginning Thursday.

With affordable prices the company aims to attract first-time buyers and play a major role in Prime Minster’s ‘Digital India’ initiative. With this new offering, iBall aims to address the need of affordable computing, in line with the Honorable Prime Minister’s Digital India Initiative, to narrow the gap between consumer needs and the devices currently available in the market,” the company said in a statement.

Latest Windows 10 operating system

Though the CompBook laptops are presently running Microsoft Windows 10 Home but they can also be configured with Windows 10 Pro version. This means the laptops will include all the Windows 10 features like Cortana virtual voice assistant, Microsoft Edge browser, Windows Hello for easy sign-in and much more.

Ample storage

Equipped with Intel Quad-Core Processor and 2GB RAM clocked at the speed up to 1.83GHz, the laptops allow you to get all your work done as you smoothly multi-task various tasks simultaneously. It is packed with 32GB in-built storage, further expandable up to 64GB via Micro SD card. For more storage, external HDD can be connected.

Gigantic and optimised battery life

Powered with a massive 10000mAh non-removable battery, the company claims that the laptop can last up to 8.5 hours of usage. It also claims 31 hours of standby, 25 hours of music playback and 8.5 hours of video playback.

Multifunctional touch-pad

It has a 11.6” inch screen designed with Touch Pad having multi-touch functionality. With this, one can make use of short cut gestures, like pinching in and stretching out your two fingers to zoom in and out your screen respectively or swiping the three fingers on touchpad away from you to see all the windows opened.

Light weight

Weighing just 1.09 kgs, it is easy to carry around.
