This Khadi Air-Conditioned Jacket Can Save You In Summer, But Costs A Whopping Rs 18,000

Union Minister of State for MSME Giriraj Singh on Tuesday launched an “AC Jacket” in his constituency Khanwa in Nawada, Bihar.

Singh on Tuesday unveiled the self-cooling linen jacket. NDTV reports that the jacket is fitted with hot and cold air fans. Equipped with two buttons- red for hot and green for cold, the jacket is battery operated.

While the jacket will be available in markets soon, the minister added that it would be beneficial for soldiers in areas like Siachen.

Tentatively priced at Rs 18,000 for a sleeveless jacket and Rs 25,000 for a full-sleeved one, students of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) helped in the design of the jacket.
