Everything You Need To Know About Shillong's Cherry Blossom Festival

Hey, it’s time for Shillong’s fourth Cherry Blossom Festival in India and we can’t contain our excitement. This festival is held every year to celebrate the unique autumn flowering of the Himalayan Cherry Blossoms along with several other cultural events from 13th-16th November.

You’ll get to see pink cherry blossom trees that are just so pretty and alluring to look at but there are other events that have been organised to keep you entertained.

They’ll also be hosting music gigs, a beauty pageant and stalls showcasing various cuisines, arts, wine and crafts of the region. Oh, this time they’ll also feature sumptuous Korean barbeque and K-pop music. Woohoo!

You can walk under the beautifully lit cherry blossom trees in the night sky and enjoy a fine dining experience at Ward’s Lake like never before.

Other entertaining programs like rock concerts, traditional folk music, unplugged western music, and dance performances by natives of North East India have also been lined up to give the best experience.

You’ll also be able to participate in bicycle rallies, taekwondo demonstrations and storytelling sessions.
