It is no surprise that music has always bought people together.

A viral video showing a bunch of commuters in the New York Subway singing ‘I want it that way’ by the Backstreet Boys has filled the internet with smiles and all sorts of nostalgia.

The video, which was viewed more 2.5 million times was posted on Twitter by an advocate who was also part of this singalong. The video has a shirtless man playing the song on a speaker and everyone on the commute joined in singing that song.

The advocate mentioned that he was having a ‘really tough week’ and seeing everyone singing the song together made him feel that ‘sometimes, people and life surprise you and a little magic happens.’

Clearly, the internet was very happy.

This video was also viewed by the Backstreet Boys themselves and they re-shared the tweet quoting ‘They live for moments like these.’

Even though not everybody here was in synk, this video has just made our inner kid rejoice.
