Indians have this unique ability to assimilate and embrace things easily and make it their own. Languages mostly are subject to maximum distortion; not only do they go through the rigour of regional accents to create new pronunciations, words are also converted to mean something else entirely.

After the colonial Raj, the English language was taken by us and peppered with colloquial usage. The result after so many years are these words below which would mean something else in the hefty Oxford dictionary, but are interpreted in a completely different way in India.
