The much awaited trailer of Aligarh is out and we can totally understand why the film has gained international acclaim. The film was screened at Busan International Film Festival, BFI London Film Festival and Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival last year and was highly appreciated for its subject and performances.
Directed by Hansal Mehta, the film has Manoj Bajpayee playing the character of an emotionally vulnerable professor who faces severe criticism for his sexual orientation. The movie also has talented ‘Kai Po Che’ actor, Rajkummar Rao playing a journalist who unravels his real world.
The movie is set to release on February 26, 2016 but its trailer is enough to give an idea of how captivating the film is going to be.
