Shehla Rashid, the Vice President of the JNU Student Union, addressed the 4000 strong crowd, made up mostly of students and faculty of the central university, yesterday. For those of you who do not know this, Kanhaiya Kumar, the President of the student union, was arrested by the Delhi Police on charges of sedition. He was brought to the Patiala House court today and some students and teachers were even present there, exercising their right to be there for the hearing, but some lawyers, chanting anti-JNU slogans, beat them up.
