This NGO’s Video Of A Plastic River In The Himalayas Is Going Viral & If True, It’s Devastating

There was a time when Himalayas were known for their pristine waters and untouched lands. But now things are taking a turn for the worse. Thanks to all the plastic disposed off by us almost everywhere, and Himalayas are no exception.

While we are still figuring out a way to get rid of garbage in the cities, and on the beaches, this video shared by Healing Himalayas, will jolt you from within.

A literal pile of trash is snaking its way through the river stretching for hundreds of metres and posing a threat to both human health and the environment.

And then we complain of the dirty oceans. They give what they get – Trash.

So what is it? Is it the government policy…

… Or the ever-growing population?

Its us to blame..if we don’t take any measures to control the population of this country, we won’t be able to control such situations in future. Natural resources keep on shrinking every second.

Tourism and trekking in the Himalayas has been on a rise and it’s high time we realize our responsibility.

Do we really deserve to live here?

It’s really sad to see our water sources in such a state.
