Older men declare war. But it is youth that must fight and die.

In war, there is sorrow; and time stands testimony to that fact. Not only does war displace territories, it also leaves behind broken homes. One such story is that of Gurmehar Kaur, a girl hailing from Jalandhar, Punjab.

When Gurmehar was only 2 years old, her father, Captain Mandeep Singh, was killed by Pakistani soldiers in the Kargil War of 1999. The scar it left behind was deep and Gurmehar had to grieve through a tumultuous growing up phase, till one day she herself decided to become a soldier and fight for a better cause.

She has a message for everyone in this extremely emotional video of hers:

War is not the answer!
