Farhan Akhtar is not just another Bollywood actor. He’s one of the few celebrities who have been vocal about the fight for gender equality. He has always urged people for a change in mindset, a much required change which can give a ray of hope to the society we live in. 

In order to make his voice heard, Farhan started the MARD (Men Against Rape and Discrimination) campaign in 2013. Being an entertainer, he also composed a song called We All Are On The Goodside and released it on International Women’s Day in 2016. We have witnessed his fight for gender equality onscreen as well, in Dil Dhadakne Do where he explained “how when you allow someone to do something, you put yourself in an authoritative/control position and that’s not equality”
