The ads we watch on TV educating us about our periods and the use of sanitary pads is the only reality that Indian women need to know. No, the color of our blood is not red, abdomen cramps happen to men, PMS is a hoax and we certainly become superwoman during this one week where we win Olympic medals and nail meetings. How could we not know that the chirpy and athletic women that we see in these ads are how we need to be like?
Here’s a list of few things I now finally know about my periods that I did not know before and I couldn’t be more thankful for the Indian ads for showing me how:
