Malala Yousafzai recently started classes at Oxford, when an unverified picture of her surfaced on a Facebook page called Siasat.pk.
The Nobel laureate wasn’t ‘forgiven’ for wearing boots and jeans as the trolls soon began spewing bile, all over the picture.
The comments only became more coarse and shameful, as one of them even compared Malala to adult films star Mia Khalifa.
There were some, who stood up for Malala’s right to live her life on her own terms.
It’s important to call out such behaviour time and again, even if it might have little impact in the real world. Brushing it under the carpet, will only normalise this.
