It is a known fact that gender discrimination is deeply entrenched in India and in many parts of the country, the birth of a girl child is still considered a burden. But this Rio Olympics will go down in the annals of history for Indian women, who made their way forward in a country which still prefers its sons over daughters. Celebrating the victory of these women, Prasoon Joshi dedicated a powerful poem to the champions, who made the entire nation beam with pride!
