Recently, she has been endowed with another major responsibility – being a mom. As Serena is gearing up to take care of the newborn, she has penned a soulful letter to her own mother expressing gratitude for everything her mom has done for her. 

Serena talks about how she never cared much about what critics or contemporaries talked about her. One important aspect of the letter is the stress she puts on how it is not necessary to fit in, to conform to society’s standards; to be different.
