There’s a lot of strange jobs out there, and there’s always people willing to do them. If you’re a bit of a porn connoisseur for instance, and you’re also a sucker for those cheesy 70s disco porno themes, Hornsleth Bar in Denmark has got you covered. They’re in need of a new soundtrack for their toilets, and due to some strange reason, that’s led to a job opening.
The pub needs a ‘porn jay’, or PJ to watch 20 hours of porn a week and use the right sounds to build that perfect bathroom ballad.
Now obviously, that sounds a little whack, but this Danish pub is actually famous for its off-kilter vibe, which seems to only attract customers all the more. Their bathroom is even known for an art installation made of posters of adult film stars. To fill this unique position, the applicant needs to have experience in video research as well as sound editing, so they can make a 60-minute bathroom playlist.
Hornsleth Bar is offering £2,350, a private office space, a work laptop and a collection of X-rated DVDs to the person who gets the job.
“Of course, there are a lot of strange people who have applied for the job. But we have gotten some serious responses as well, and we will start interviewing them shortly.” said Kristian von Hornsleth, co-founder of the bar. Prospective applicants have to send an email explaining why they’d make a better PJ than anyone else. “It’s part of an art installation in our toilets. I’ve put up images of famous porn stars in the toilets and with visual art you also need some kind of audio piece to integrate everything.”
The person could be a man or a woman, the bar doesn’t discriminate. Good for you Denmark!
