At a time when CGI animated movies bring in all the money for studios, it’s great that a film that features mostly traditional hand-drawn animation gets some recognition. Feast , a Disney production directed by Patrick Osbourne, the co-head of animation in Big Hero 6 , just won an Academy Award for Best Animated Short. It’s a romantic comedy about a man and a woman from the perspective of the man’s dog. And it’s mainly about food.
