The Bull Elephant is one of the most iconic symbols of Africa. It is a huge animal but despite its size, it has been the target of poachers who have been hunting it for generations. In Kenya, the tribes bordering the Tsavo National Park are highly proficient in the art of poisoned arrow hunting. Unfortunately, they often use their skills to serve poachers in the region.
On September 15th, while on patrol, vets from Kenya Wildlife Services found one such bull elephant hurt with a deep arrow wound on one of its hind legs. See how they handled it.
