Raj Das

The 1996 Mount Everest disaster is a dark chapter in the history of climbing, when eight climbers, including two guides lost their lives to a blizzard near the summit.

Journalist Jon Krakauer, who was on assignment with Outlook during that climb, later wrote his account of the tragedy in a book called Into Thin Air , which was then adapted as a film called Everest , directed by Icelandic director Baltasar Kormákur. Among others, it includes actors Jason Clarke, Jake Gyllenhaal, Josh Brolin, Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington.

Here’s the trailer.

Everest releases on September 18th, 2015.
