Firangs Just Discovered ‘Miswak’ & They’re Treating It Like A ‘Revolutionary’ Product

Akarsh Mehrotra

Go to any village in India and you’ll find people chewing a twig, a practice that has gone on for ages in our country. The twig or chewing stick in question is, of course, Miswak (also called Daatun).

We all know the qualities of Miswak, it’s your regular run-of-the-mill natural way to keep your gums and teeth healthy and was discovered thousands of years ago.

But this isn’t about the history of Miswak. Even if you know nothing about it, you know that it is literally used all over the country. And not just India, people use it in many other countries as well.

But the Europeans did not discover it until very recently. And they think it is a revelation like no other. They are calling the revolutionary product, ‘Twig Brush’.

The funny part is that a Czech company is selling it for £3.90 a pop.

Imagine paying over 300 bucks for Miswak!

It’s funny how they think it is a revolution for the world when it has been around for centuries. The company called Yoni even came out with a video advocating the brilliant qualities of Miswak.

But the brand seemed to be oblivious to the fact that countless people already know about it.

All they did was make it fancy with a test tube case. So revolutionary!

Hey Firangs! Stop taking credit for others’ inventions maybe?
