Designers Create Amazing Folding Lights That Bloom Like Flowers

One of the most beautiful words I’ve ever come across is ‘nyctinasty’, which is basically the movement of plants with the onset of darkness. Some flowers that bloom in the day, close in at night. Designers at Studio DRIFT got inspired by this and designed Shylight, a light fixture that mimics the movement of such flowers.

Check it out.

If you want to check out how they made it happen, here’s the video.
