Reading mean tweets is not always a funny exercise. While musicians, athletes, actors or even presidents do it, yeah, we can have a good laugh about it. But when people who are suffering, do so, we might want to delve into the reasons why people on Twitter are being mean.

Recently, Canadian advocacy group Raising the Roof releases a powerful PSA about the problem of homelessness and society’s apathy towards the homeless. They did it by having homeless people read mean tweets about themselves. The video might make you wonder why certain people behave the way they do. At least that’s what it did for me.
