Ellen Degeneres really knows how to pick them. Recently, she featured a video on her massively popular online show Ellentube of a sweet little 4-year-old named Mckenna singing “I’m Gonna Love You Through It” by Martina Mcbride wholeheartedly to her teary-eyed mother.
What’s notable about this video is that the mother, 23-year-old Diana Stanchak, has Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Diana was reportedly diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma specialty, a very rare form of cancer, on Christmas Eve 2013. The video of Mckenna singing is from a cancer support party, and the heart rending version of the song has Diana in tears within seconds.
Even Diana’s mother commented on the video, saying, “I have not seen a smile on my daughter’s face in almost two years. Mckenna sings this song to her Mommy everyday! She is the main reason she fights to live and beat this battle. Thank you for sharing her video, she finds comfort in the support from all who have left loving messages.”
