Sticking to its notorious reputation as an area revolving around gangs and violence, a Compton rapper recently got shot in the head by an AK-47. Teriq Royal and and his pals were hanging around a petrol station when they were struck by bullet fragments from an AK47 to the head, bullets that were meant for someone else.
In true gangsta-rap manner though, Teriq proceeded to record his bloodied and dazed reaction to the shooting, which he posted on Facebook.
In the video, Teriq is also telling someone on the phone about how he just got shot, joking that he now qualifies as a real bonafide rap star and thanking god that he’s still alive. He later put up a picture of an X-ray of his skull, showing just how lucky he was to avoid serious injury.
Compton is a small city outside of Los Angeles, and is known as a hotbed of gang violence and drug dealers, but is also famous for putting out one of the most legendary hip-hop groups of all time – NWA. Watch the video below.
