Ron And Snape’s Behind-The-Scene Anecdote Makes Us Miss Alan Rickman Even More

The world mourns the death of Alan Rickman, who consistently provided the audience with memorable roles and delivered some of the warmest performances. For this generation, his most lasting character is probably that of Professor Severus Snape in the famous Harry Potter Series.

A young Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley, recounted the time he had drawn a “rather unpretty” picture of Alan Rickman, not realising Rickman had been standing behind him the whole time.

“One time in Potions lesson with Snape, who’s really scary, I was doodling with my quill in a book.”

“I drew a rather unpretty picture” and “exaggerated a few of his features”, a shy Rupert Grint reveals.

Alan Rickman, the stunner that he always is, asked for a signed copy of the doodle and confessed that he kept it with him as a memento. It almost melts your heart to see the warmth he exudes when he says, “I am very fond of it.”

It’s just a short anecdote but it goes a long way to show the kind of man he was.
