This Short Film Perfectly Depicts Everything That’s Wrong With Social Media And How We Use It

I cannot be the only one who thinks that people look a little too happy on social media. But are they really that happy? In the thriller film, One Hour Photo , Robin Williams’ character, Sy Parrish, says – Family photos depict smiling faces… births, weddings, holidays, children’s birthday parties. People take pictures of the happy moments in their lives. Someone looking through our photo album would conclude that we had led a joyous, leisurely existence free of tragedy. No one ever takes a photograph of something they want to forget.

This could mean that we only see the happy bits in others’ lives. But then, we compare that to our own lives and feel bitter. This short film, titled What’s on your mind? , by Shaun Highton, captures the insecurity social media creates, and it does so really well.
