A leader from the BJP’s youth wing, Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), on Tuesday announced a reward of Rs 11 lakh for anyone who presents him with the head of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

According to India Today, BJYM leader Yogesh Varshney made the offer after claiming that when some of the activists carried out massive rallies in Kolkata’s Birbhum district to mark Hanuman Jayanti they were dispersed by the police.

Varshney added that the Chief Minister hadn’t allowed Saraswati Puja festivities to be organized and discriminated against Hindus.

ANI reports that the police had already warned the Bir Hanuman Jayanti organizers that it would not allow them to hold any rally on Tuesday.

However, while the activists assured the police that they would carry any arms like during Ram Navami, they were charged and dispersed by the police during the rally.
