Since women usually have a high pitched voice than men (low pitched voice), she could just hear just women.

Reverse-sloping hearing loss is a form of sensorineural hearing loss.

Reports state she was able to hear every word of the ENT doctor, Dr Lin Xiaoqing, who treated Ms Chen.

The doctor, Dr Xiaoqing said,

“She was able to hear me when I spoke to her, but when a young male patient walked in, she couldn’t hear him at all.”

The doctor also said

“It was possible that stress may have contributed to the condition.”
