Sidney Sheldon was an Oscar and Tony winning writer who came in to the limelight in the 1930s for writing a successful comedy The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer, which later earned him an Academy Award in 1948. His work spanned over 20 years in the television and movie industry but, during his 50s he started writing romantic suspense novels like Master of the Game (1982), The Other Side of Midnight (1973) and Rage of Angels that later, that went on to become some of the best-selling novels of all time. He died in 2007, at the age of 89, but his novels continue to be at the top because of his brilliant writing skills that remain unparalleled, till date. But, aside from his well-calculated suspense thrillers, Sheldon’s words – through his novels and interviews are symbolic of life at its unpredictable best.
