While the whole state of Kerala is under a major natural disaster,  it has still not affected the morals and values of the people.

The fourth floor of a school was being used as a temporary shelter where 1200 people were placed. They had lost their homes during the worst floods Kerala has seen in over a century.

Before departing the shelter, which is located in the Ernakulam district, the people made sure that they cleaned up after them and left the place completely spotless.

When one of the inmates was questioned as to why is she cleaning the floor, she said,

Even if the place had been left in less-than-desirable condition, it would have been okay, considering the circumstances. But the fact that they chose to do this, is commendable.
