After playing a Bihari migrant in Udta Punjab, Alia Bhatt is set to play the role of a Kashmiri girl in Meghana Gulzar’s espionage thriller, Raazi.

The film will see Alia’s character married to a Pakistani army officer, which will be played by Masaan actor Vicky Kaushal.
The movie is produced by Junglee Pictures and Dharma Productions and is based on Harinder Sikkas novel, ‘Calling Sehmat’, a thrilling saga of a spy who gave all of herself and that of her family in the service of her nation,.
Both the actors took to Twitter to announce the news.

Besides expressing his excitement on social media, actor Vicky Kaushal issued a statement to ScoopWhoop News.
“I’m honoured to be getting an opportunity to work with Meghana Gulzar and also looking forward to working with Aalia, who I feel is one of the finest actresses we have at the moment. Actually the entire team is so talented and especially to be working with Dharma productions is rewarding for any young actor. I’ll soon wrap up Raju Sir’s Film and will begin Shooting for Raazi,” the Masaan actor said.
