The 71st Emmy nominations are finally out and have brought quite a fair share of surprises. With 32 nominations, HBO’s Game of Thrones broke the record for the maximum nominations for a drama series in a year.

A not-so-close second was Prime’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which landed 20 nominations.

Variety

HBO really was the winner as far as nominations were concerned, because their limited series Chernobyl also won 18 nominations across multiple categories.

HBO

Phoebe-Waller Bridge’s relatable, emotional, and humorous, tragicomedy Fleabag also landed 11 nominations, and in fact, all the female stars from the show landed a nomination.

And if we’re talking about female leads, it’s interesting to note that four of our favourite GoT stars are actually battling it out in the same category.
