Since the latest and final season Game of Thrones’ didn’t go down very well with the audience, the finale has been recorded as the lowest rated episode on IMDb in the show’s history.

Blame it on the unfinished character arcs or the fact that a person who literally was the last person to sit on the Throne, became King (read: Bran, the Broken).

Before this, the worst-rated episode was ‘Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken’ which showed the brutal rape of Sansa Stark at the sadistic hands of Ramsay Bolton. However, the episode still had a rating of 8.1, which is nowhere even close to the finale’s 4.4.

People on Twitter had something to say about this ‘development’.

Lowest rated @GameOfThrones episode before Season 8 was a 8.1 in S5E6. Everything besides that is 8.5 or better. Season 8 has ratings as low as 4.3. Highest rated ep in S8 is 8.0. And yet people are still defending S8. Stop it. Season was horrible. @HBO @SophieT

My Game of Thrones finale hot take is actually that ALL TV show finales suck. Never seen a good one. Whether ended after 10 seasons at the producer’s choosing or by the network after one season due to low ratings, all series finales suck.

This is way too low of a rating for #GameOfThrones does anyone else agree? https://t.co/j5nwH48hWk

Such low rating for #GameOfThrones for the finale. Even lower than what Rotten Tomatoes gave. https://t.co/aliYvCdXdN
