Cersei Lannister was the ultimate Machiavellian villain of the Game of Thrones series. The woman- who got away with conspiring for all kinds of crap, framed Ned Stark, blew up the Sept of Baelor – was killed by a bunch of bricks.

Among all things that bugged GoT fans about its ending, Cersei’s death comes in the Top 10.

Even Lena Haedey admitted in an interview with the Guardian that her character deserved a better death.

I will say I wanted a better death.

Her death was obviously poetic in the sense that she died with Jaime. In her conversation with Ned Stark, way back in Season 1, she says, ‘Jaime and I belong together’.

But it wasn’t able to live up to the level of sinister Cersei has been.

She added that no matter what the makers did, there would have been some comedown from the soaring expectations from the show-

Obviously you dream of your death… You could go in any way on that show. So I was kind of gutted. But I just think they couldn’t have pleased everyone. No matter what they did, I think there was going to be some big comedown from the climb.

Anyhow, netizens are like, ‘tell me about it’.

At least on television, we would like Karma to do its job.
