A worker reportedly died on the sets of Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, Kaala Karikaalan

According to a report filed by Deccan Chronicle, a worker, Michael, on Thursday was electrocuted at the EVP Studios in Chennai, where a massive set worth over Rs 5 crore was being erected for the third leg of the shooting for the film directed by Pa Ranjith.

The 66-year-old actor recently wrapped up the shooting at locations in Mumbai. And before resuming the second leg in the city, he took a break and flew back to Chennai.

As per the schedule, the actor soon after completing his second round of shooting in Mumbai, will reportedly continue filming the rest of the sequences in Chennai on the same sets.

After delivering a blockbuster hit Kabali last year, the Tamil superstar has once again collaborated with filmmaker, Pa Ranjith for a gangster drama, titled Kaala Karikaalan.

Produced by the actor’s son-in-law, Dhanush, the film also features Huma Qureshi and Nana Patekar in pivotal role.
