Salman Khan’s callous rape remark became the talk of the town and the actor faced immense criticism from media and women organisations. Though the actor himself did not apologise, his father Salim Khan tweeted and gave a public apology.
In a latest update regarding the controversy, writer Salim Khan admitted that he was expecting the issue to subside after his apology on behalf of his son.
He sent out a series of tweets and expressed his disappointment
Normally people apologise to get rid of the problem but, I meant it hoping that the problem would be over.

He blames the media for pushing the controversy to its saturation point
But the commercial compulsion of the media wanted to carry it to the saturation point. I regret not knowing this.
